Gurugram just got itself a serious passport stamp to Bangkok’s boldest flavors and spirited vibes with the launch of BANNG at Two Horizon Center. A collaboration between culinary icon Chef Garima Arora (yes, the two Michelin-star-wielding trailblazer herself!) and hospitality maestro Riyaaz Amlani, BANNG is more than a restaurant—it’s a vibe.

This isn’t just food; it’s a cultural exchange program served on a plate. Chef Garima has brought Bangkok home with a menu that screams authenticity louder than a Thai street vendor at closing time. Think handmade pastes, premium ingredients flown in weekly, and dishes that promise to make your taste buds dance a Muay Thai roundhouse kick.

“It feels incredibly special to return home and open BANNG,” says Chef Garima. “I’ve drawn inspiration from Bangkok, its rich culinary traditions, and vibrant energy while honoring India and Thailand’s shared cultural heritage. Every dish on the menu reflects this journey—a harmonious blend of bold flavors, innovative techniques, and heartfelt storytelling.”

The Tale of Two BANNGs

By day, BANNG is all about "eating like the Thais do." The dining menu, led by Head Chef Manav Khanna, traverses Thailand from north to south, with every dish telling a story of meticulous craftsmanship. But when the sun sets, the restaurant swaps its apron for party shoes. Enter: a high-energy bar program crafted by Attapon De-Silva of the YOLO group.

The drinks are as cheeky as the bar’s Muay Thai inspiration, with concoctions labeled Flyweight, Middleweight, and Heavyweight. Want a cocktail that punches? Try one inspired by Bangkok's fruit carts—fresh, sweet, pickled, and spicy all at once.

“Our cocktail philosophy is inspired by the vibrant energy of Bangkok’s fruit carts,” shares Attapon. “By drawing parallels between Bangkok and India’s buzzing bar cultures, BANNG aims to redefine the cocktail experience by capturing the best of both worlds.”

Design to Thai For

Studio Renesa’s interiors are where cultural narratives collide. Thai lantern-inspired ceiling installations, Indian motifs, and interactive murals make the space Insta-worthy from every angle. The bar’s sculptural design isn’t just a place to grab a drink; it’s a statement of playful luxury.

Chef’s Kiss, Literally

“BANNG delivers an experience that’s bold, authentic, and distinctly unique,” adds Riyaaz Amlani, summing it up perfectly. “With Chef Garima’s unparalleled expertise in Thai cuisine and her deep understanding of Bangkok’s culture, we’re bringing the energy, flavors, and spirit of Thailand’s cultural capital to Gurugram.”

The Final Verdict

BANNG isn’t just another Pan-Asian restaurant. It’s a high-octane celebration of Bangkok’s dual personality—playful and thoughtful, bold yet nuanced. Whether you’re there for the food, the cocktails, or just the vibes, one thing’s for sure: BANNG is BANGG on.

Gurugram, brace yourself—this one’s going to be a knockout.
